HELMEPA Academy Course Completed

Queensway Navigation Co. Ltd. is pleased to announce the successful completion of the tailor-made Shipping Familiarization Course delivered in cooperation with HELMEPA Academy for the Company’s shore-based personnel.

The programme, titled “The ABCs of Bridge Resource Management, Ship Handling & STS Operations”, combined theoretical presentations, bridge familiarization and hands-on simulator exercises, offering participants valuable exposure to key shipboard operations and bridge management practices.

The course covered:
• Shipboard organization and bridge operations
• Bridge Resource Management (BRM)
• Ship handling fundamentals
• Ship-to-Ship (STS) operations
• Environmental awareness and sustainability
• Teamwork, communication and operational collaboration

Delivered at HELMEPA Academy’s training facilities and full mission bridge simulator in Athens, the initiative forms part of Queensway’s ongoing commitment to continuous professional development, operational excellence and strengthening the connection between sea and shore.
